We unfortunately can't get accurate temperature data from our Smart Vents. Our experiments have confirmed what we believed all along. Despite what a competitor claims, it is not possible to reliably measure room conditions from vents. (You can read more about this on our blog at: https://flair.co/blogs/news/what-the-puck)
If what you're hoping to achieve is an equalized temperature across your house, we need an accurate temperature feed for each room. You have two options for this:
Pucks + Smart Vents in each room with a central smart thermostat such as an ecobee
Smart Vents + ecobee Remote sensors in each room + one Puck with an ecobee central smart thermostat. We work with ecobee remote sensors, so that may be another way to get an accurate temperature feed for each room. If you do buy from ecobee, let them know that Flair sent you their way!
As for your point about children not setting their room temperature, it sounds like you're looking for a child lockout feature. A couple of users have requested that, so it's definitely on our radar. We could develop a lock in the App to prevent children from setting temperatures on the Puck.
