I'm confused about what to expect when pairing rooms. Neither Flair nor the Nest gives any useful settings or indication about what's supposed to happen. My downstairs is setup as follows.
*Nest controlling baseboard heat
*Puck controlling ductless AC+heat
I have paired the puck to the nest room but that looks to do nothing.
Ideally I would like the Nest to be able to communicate to the ductless via the puck. I've seen no indication that the Nest can see any information about the puck. I see on the nest page that the flair puck is listed in the 'works with puck' but the Nest UI doesn't look to have anything else about flair. So is it possible to control the Flair Puck setting of my ductless via the Nest UI?
This is desired because, #1 the Nest is already in an ideal location. #2 we already have several Nest thermostats controlling heat and ac in other parts of the house. It would be awkward to have another system. #3 I can't find a way to set a schedule for the Flair Puck. Looks to either be manual or some phone location thing that wont work for people without joined phones.
So definitely more information is needed on how a Nest thermostat and Flair Puck thermostat interact. If the Flair thermostat is controlling the Nest then I would expect to see some logs about what it's doing. Currently I don't see any settings or indication that it's doing anything.
